It calls for Christians who are committed to increasing their leadership skills and deepening their spiritual practices.
Here are the Committees and Boards that serve as leadership for Wesley United Methodist Church.
Council On Minsitries
Purpose of the Council on Ministries
Plan and implement effective ministries, programs and mission projects that will minister to the spiritual and physical needs of individuals, families and the larger community.
The model that will be utilized by Wesley’s Council on Ministries is (N.O.W. – Nurture, Outreach and Witness).
Nurture ministries
Will help the congregation to grow in their Spiritual lives and become better equipped for life on the Christian journey.
Outreach Ministries
Shall give attention to the local and larger community. Outreach ministries may take expression in several forms: compassion, justice, and advocacy, so that the quality of life may be improved for all.
Witness Ministries
Brings the community of faith together and share their stories of Christian experience, to work for justice, righteous and redemption of the world.
Finance Committee
The finance committee proposes a budget; then raises, manages, and distributes the financial resources of the congregation to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the congregation.
Pastor/Staff-Parish Relations Committee
This committee works with the lead pastor and other staff so that the staff can work effectively in managing the ministry of the congregation for making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. This committee also fulfills legal and ethical responsibilities related to staff.
Trustee Board
Trustees are Christian stewards of the property God has entrusted to the congregation. Trustees supervise and maintain the property of the congregation to ensure that disciple-making ministries of the congregation are effective and that local legal requirements related to the property are satisfied.
